Imagine our mind as a magnet: consciousness explained in plain English
In this quote, Seth is trying to explain a complicated idea by comparing our consciousness (or mind) to energy.
Here’s a simpler way to think about it:
Imagine your mind as a powerful magnet. This magnet is made up of lots of tiny, invisible energy pieces, kind of like how atoms make up everything around us.
Just like a magnet attracts metal objects, your mind attracts different thoughts, feelings, and experiences based on how strong it is and what it’s focused on.
Now, this magnet isn’t just sitting there. It follows certain rules, some of which we don’t fully understand yet.
These rules decide what kinds of thoughts and feelings your mind pulls in.
The stronger your “magnet” (or consciousness), the more it can attract and hold onto certain experiences and ideas.
So, in short, Seth is saying that our consciousness is made of energy, which acts like a magnet.
This magnet can attract different things to us based on its strength and focus, following some special rules of energy that we might not know yet.

Our Consciousness according to Seth
Seth: “Consciousness is composed of energy, with everything that implies.
The psyche, then, can be thought of as a conglomeration of highly charged “particles” of energy, following rules and properties, many simple unknown to you.
On other levels, laws of dynamics apply to the energy sources of the self.
Think of a given “self” as a nucleus of an energy gestalt of consciousness. That nucleus, according to its intensity, will attract to it certain masses of the entire energy patterns availabe to a given identity.”
