Embracing Self-Worth: Overcoming Negative Beliefs and Cultivating Joy

Identifying and changing negative beliefs is a powerful process in nurturing one’s self-worth. Seth emphasizes that our beliefs shape our reality, but they don’t define who we are inherently.

Self-worth and Cultivating Joy. That's what these birds do.

My take on self-worth and negative beliefs

Seth’s teachings resonate with the idea that our beliefs significantly influence our reality. The emphasis on separating self-worth from negative beliefs is empowering. It highlights the importance of introspection, acknowledging positive actions, and reshaping beliefs to create a more fulfilling life. The analogy of emerging from dark holes into new realities encapsulates the transformative potential within us, urging us to embrace our inherent joy and vitality.

Self-worth and Cultivating Joy

Feel the joy of your own being and able to take the responsibility for joy.

Not that you have a responsibility for joy but that you are joy.

And, therefore, left alone, you will automatically express it as a tree gives forth leaves.

There is nothing wrong with any of you, with your being, with what you are.

And, do not ever let anyone tell you that there is.

There is nothing wrong with the selves that you are.

Do not identify beliefs that you do not like with the self that you are.

Overcoming Negative Beliefs, a Seth Session

Seth: “When you believe that you are unworthy and when you interpret this particular belief, for example, to mean that you are fat or that you are lonely or that you are poor you are following through with your belief perfectly. There is nothing inferior about such a reality that you have created. It is a beautiful example of your belief in action, in your terms.

If you believe that you [a student] are inferior and you find before you the result of your belief, then you have done an excellent job of projecting the belief outward. Pat yourself on the back! But, if you do not like the results, then change your belief.

There is nothing wrong with you. You did a good job of projecting your belief. There is nothing wrong with any of you, with your being, with what you are. And, do not ever let anyone tell you that there is.

You are simply using your abilities and learning how to do it. And, you continue to learn. But, there is nothing wrong with the self that is learning. And, that is what I want you to know.

There is nothing wrong with the selves that you are. Do not identify beliefs that you do not like with the self that you are.

[Discussion on the above followed. As a student was speaking, Seth returned:]

Because I do not want you [a student] to concentrate on your negative beliefs: You have done some things right. And, you still are. And, I want you to transfer the feeling of doing things right to those other areas.

You can, also, run through dark holes and emerge into other kinds of reality. And, that is what I expect you to do and to come out in this one carrying your own vitality and not afraid of it and feeling the joy of your own being and able to take the responsibility for joy. Not that you have a responsibility for joy but that you are joy. And, therefore, left alone, you will automatically express it as a tree gives forth leaves.
