When the conscious mind recognizes that its existence is a part of these larger processes, then it can relax, formulate its intentions or goal, and happily allow these other processes to work in their own way and produce results that the conscious mind can imagine but does not produce on its own.
Seth session
Seth: “Your conscious thoughts are, of course, the result of a process, and an automatic process, as you put it. However, you identify thoughts with the brain, with a living object; therefore, it is difficult for you to comprehend that you were thinking before you had a brain, and will continue to think afterwards. But it was the processes that created the brain, not the other way around. “Divine process” is indeed an excellent term, but physical processes are no less divine; they are simply divine processes expressed in physical ways. Now, when you perform well in any area, especially one that has to do with creativity, you are working with your own processes and spontaneously achieving what might otherwise be very difficult to achieve. When the conscious mind recognizes that its existence is a part of these larger processes, then it can relax, formulate its intentions or goals, and happily allow these other processes to work in their own way and produce results that the conscious mind can imagine but does not produce on its own.
This, of course, applies to Ruburt’s physical situation as well as to all other circumstances. If political events trouble you too much, you should try to think of them as processes, of which only individual events come into existence, while underneath there is the same overarching wisdom at work that you recognize in the behavior of nature, in what you take to be all its other manifestations. In their own way, events – political events – are as natural as plants, but because they are psychic in nature, this usually escapes you. They grow through the same creative processes as a plant sprouting from the ground, but here the ground is spiritual in nature. Events in the world at large serve in their own way as various psychic resources, psychic versions of all elements of nature, so to speak, so that even, say, psychic storms of events serve different purposes than those you may immediately perceive. If you look again at your world in terms of processes, you will gain many insights that will expand your understanding of both inner and outer realities.
You may find some of the same goals by looking at perplexing personal, local, or national events as if they were dreams and then interpreting them from that point of view-but keep in mind the notion of processes. When you remember dreams, you naturally expand your experience of both dream and waking reality, and therefore have further conscious experience of the process that underlies both waking and dream life.
